What we do
With WATERISE a new journey begins. We take the move with a STUDY PHASE aimed at Mapping potentials of Nature-based Solutions in Water-Scarce Tourist Islands. A Community of Practice enhancing territorial stakeholders’ eco-innovation capacity is created valuing traditional knowledge and Nature Based Solutions to water stewardship. The Community will grow to become a hub of knowledge and inspiration for other Mediterranean islands.

- A participatory mapping of Nature based Solutions pilot actions in water-scarce tourist Islands
2- The Test Phase
Next will come the TEST PHASE aimed at testing joint Nature based Solutions and shared sustainable tourism strategies in the pilot communities, mitigating the impact of climate change in tourist sector.
3- The Transfer Phase
Finally, the TRANSFER PHASE aimed at spreading Island Water-Wise Practices for a Green Tourism Transition in the Mediterranean. As a result, a shared approach to a water-wise island tourism is adopted contributing to the ecological transition.
